The Consolidated Area Housing Authority of Sutter County

is a public non-profit corporation. The primary function of the Housing Authority is to assist low and moderate-income families, including elderly and handicapped persons, by operating programs that provide decent, safe and sanitary housing at affordable costs. Our area of jurisdiction of the Housing Authority is the entire County of Sutter. A board of seven Commissioners directs the Housing Authority.

The Housing Authority

is located in southern Yuba City, CA at the Richland Housing complex. This complex contains a variety of different housing programs such as HUD, USDA Rural Development, and the State of California Office of Migrant Services for a total of 388 units. We also have another 209 units spread throughout Yuba City and Live Oak, a city just north on Hwy 99. In addition we manage the county’s Section 8 program, HUD’s direct rental assistance to landlords for low-income tenants.
